Jane Urquhart is the award-winning author of poetry, short stories and several novels. Her novel Away was the winner of the Trillium Book Award, The Stone Carvers was a finalist for the Giller Prize and the Governor General’s Literary Award and longlisted for the Booker Prize. Her most recent novel, A Map of Glass, was a finalist for a regional Commonwealth Writers’ Prize for Best Book.

As editor of The Penguin Book of Canadian Short Stories, Jane Urquhart has collected together the best Canadian short fiction published over more than a century.
