It's been nearly two decades since Dwayne Morgan first brought his brand of spoken word to the stage. Morgan will release Everyday Excellence, an inspirational memoir, as part of the Harbourfront Centre's Kuumba festivities, in partnership with Authors at Harbourfront Centre. The event will be followed by an evening of spoken word performance and soul music featuring The Experience.

Dwayne Morgan

Dwayne Morgan began his career as a spoken word artist in 1993. He is the founder of Up From The Roots entertainment, which promotes the positive artistic contributions of African Canadian and urban-influenced artists. Morgan has received several awards including the African Canadian Achievement Award, Harry Jerome Award for Excellence in the Arts and three Canadian Urban Music Awards. He has published seven books and two chapbooks. Morgan presents his latest work, Everyday Excellence, an inspirational memoir.
