Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden and The Hon. James K. Bartleman, headline a panel comprised of Canadian and Swedish authors and advocates of children’s literacy to exchange ideas about children and books and reading, and discuss the successes and challenges of literacy work.

Featured panelists are:

  • Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden;
  • The Honourable James K. Bartleman, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario;
  • Alireza Afshari, Children's Books Consultant for the City of Stockholm;
  • Free the Children's Craig Kielburger;
  • Swedish-to-English translator Maria Lundin; and Swedish children's book author and illustrator Carin Wirsén.

The round table is moderated by children's books and Globe and Mail writer Val Ross.
