Ron Butlin (Scotland/UK) is the current Edinburgh Poet Laureate, and was earlier this year made the first Honorary Writing Fellow by the University of Edinburgh, together with Ian Rankin. Butlin’s works include the novels
The Sound of My Voice,
Night Visits and, most recently,
Belonging; two previous collections of stories,
The Tilting Room and
Vivaldi and the Number 3; as well as six books of poetry and several opera libretti. Butlin presents his short story collection
No More Angels – a dramatic follow-up to his acclaimed novel

Jen Hadfield (Canada/Scotland) lives in Shetland, where she works as a poet, writing tutor, artist and sometimes shop assistant. Her first collection of poetry,
Almanacs, won an Eric Gregory Award from the Society of Authors, which enabled her to begin writing her second collection,
Nigh-No-Place, in Canada. Hadfield presents this T.S. Eliot Prize-winning poetry collection, which reflects the breadth of ground she has covered and her awareness of the natural world.

Martin MacIntyre (Scotland/UK) is the award-winning author of novels, short stories and poetry in both the English and Gaelic language, and a traditional Gaelic singer. He has appeared at the Edinburgh International Book Festival, Aberdeen Word and New York’s Tartan Week. MacIntyre’s poetry collection
Let Me Dance with Your Shadow utilizes contemporary voice to address themes of reflection, love, loss, culture, heritage, family and society that are traditional to Scotland.
