Reading/Interview: Lynda Barry

Lynda Barry is the creator of the syndicated comic strip Ernie Pook's Comeek featuring the incomparable Marlys and Freddy, as well as the books One! Hundred! Demons!, The Greatest of Marlys, Cruddy: An Illustrated Novel, and Naked Ladies Naked Ladies Naked Ladies. Her bestselling book What It Is received the R.R. Donelley and Eisner Award for Best Reality-Based Work. Barry presents her latest book, Picture This, an inspirational, take-home extension of her travelling workshop, “Writing The Unthinkable.”

Peter Birkemoe is owner of The Beguiling, which stocks the largest selection of comics and graphic novels in Canada. He is also co-founder of the Toronto Comic Arts Festival.
