The current Lieutenant-Governor of New Brunswick, Herménégilde Chiasson is the author of more than a dozen books of poetry, over 30 plays, and several collections of essays.

Born in Bombay in 1952, Rohinton Mistry came to Canada in 1975. He has been awarded the Governor General’s Literary Award, the Scotiabank Giller Prize, the Commonwealth Writers’ Prize for Best Book, the Los Angeles Times Book Prize for Fiction, and been shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize and the prestigious Timothy Findley Award for a male writer in mid-career – to name but a few.

Richard Russo was awarded the 2002 Pulitzer Prize for his bestselling novel Empire Falls. He is also the author of such novels as Mohawk, The Risk Pool, Nobody’s Fool, and Straight Man, as well as the short story collection The Whore’s Child.

Owen Sheers was born in Fiji and grew up in Abergavenny, Wales. He is the author of award-winning poetry and non-fiction, and has also written for radio, TV, and newspapers.
