A group of artists and authors comes together in celebration of Canada’s Renaissance Man: Paul Quarrington.
Presenting readings, music and one or two onstage surprises are a number of special guests from the worlds of books, screen, stage and music. Including: Margaret Atwood, David Bezmogis, Wayson Choy, Roddy Doyle, Alistair MacLeod and Nino Ricci.

Paul Gross speaks to their screen work together including Whale Music, Men with Brooms, Due South and more. And friends such as Jim Cuddy, Robert Lantos, Richard A Lewis, and Michael Ondaatje deliver tributes on film.

This event also includes live music from the PorkBelly Futures, the Rheostatics and the Quarrington Trio!

Dave Bidini

Writer, playwright, filmmaker, journalist, musician, and devoted sports fan Dave Bidini is the author of nine books. As a weekly columnist for the National Post he has received numerous National Magazine Awards, and his film The Hockey Nomad won a Gemini Award for Best Documentary. Bidini presents Home and Away, an uplifting tale of travelling with Homeless Team Canada as they compete for the Homeless World Cup in Melbourne, Australia.

Paul Quarrington

Paul Quarrington is a novelist, musician, screenwriter and non-fiction writer. His screen-writing credits include Due South (for which he was Gemini nominated). His musical credits include his current band, PorkBelly Futures. And his novel-writing credits include Galveston, The Ravine, and King Leary, which, defended by Dave Bidini, won CBC Canada Reads in 2008.
