I Live Here

Saturday, October 25, 1:00pm
2008-10-25 13:00
Mia Kirshner and fellow contributors Karen Connelly and Lauren Kirshner present I Live Here. This visually stunning "paper documentary" comprises four journals about the lives of displaced women and children, told in their own words or in stories told in text and images by noted writers and artists. This raw and intimate journey unveils crises in four corners of the world: war in Chechnya, ethnic cleansing in Burma, globalization in Mexico, and AIDS in Malawi. Additional contributors include Ann-Marie MacDonald, Joe Sacco, Chris Abani, and many others. All proceeds of I Live Here go to Amnesty International.
