Janet Turner Hospital’s previous novel Due Preparations for the Plague, published in 2003, was a New York Times Notable Book. Hospital teaches at the University of South Carolina as Carolina Distinguished Professor of English and Distinguished Writer in Residence.
Gina B. Nahai is the author of several acclaimed works of fiction, including Cry of the Peacock, winner of the Los Angeles Arts Council Award for Fiction, and Moonlight on the Avenue of Faith, finalist for the Orange Prize.
M.G. Vassanji is a two-time Scotiabank Giller Prize-winner. Vassanji presents his new novel, The Assassin’s Song, a story about postcolonial tumult in India versus the modern world.
Nathan Whitlock is the author of A Week of This: A Novel in Seven Days and is the Books for Young People Editor for Quill & Quire magazine. His writing and reviews have appeared in the Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, Maisonneuve, Fashion, and elsewhere.
