Richard Holloway

One of the most outspoken and best-loved figures in the modern church in Scotland, Richard Holloway (Scotland/UK) recently stood down as the Bishop of Edinburgh. He is the author of numerous books and has presented his own series on the BBC. He is also the 2009 Guest Director of the Edinburgh International Book Festival. Holloway presents his thought-provoking new book, Between the Monster and the Saint, in which he holds a mirror up to the human condition by drawing on a colourful and eclectic selection of writings from history, philosophy, science, poetry, theology and literature.
